The Puhinui precast project for James Kirkpatrick Group showcases a diverse palette of MONARC architectural concrete blends, including Mascarpone 0016, Schitake 0510, Pettine 0016, Caviar 0510 and Oyster 0010. Diamond Brushed and Diamond Honed finishes feature alongside Grated Vertical 0508-08 and Random F5/milled rebate designer finishes, creating complementary textures that harmonise with the surrounding building and landscaping materials. The sealed concrete preserves a natural, raw appearance.
Towering over 18 metres, the panels set a new height benchmark for single, full-height MONARC architectural structural precast panels, enabling greater warehousing capacity per square foot of floor area. Their exceptional dimensions required planned extension of casting tables and reconfiguration of storage areas to accommodate handling and storage.
In its prominent location, the project showcases excellence in modern commercial architecture, transforming the conventional concrete box into a landmark of distinction that enhances the beauty of its surroundings.
